Density: Approximately 2.5 g/cm ³ (based on ordinary sodium calcium silicate glass).

Heat resistance: Tempered black glass has a short-term temperature resistance of ≤ 300-350 ° C; Softening point 600-650 ° C.

Surface hardness: Mohs hardness~5-6 (tempered glass has better scratch resistance than ordinary glass, but not “scratch resistant”).

Bending strength: ≥ 120 MPa after tempering.

Chemical stability: Good acid and alkali resistance.

Application fields:

Architectural decoration: used to make curtain walls, background walls, and column glass, which can create a visual effect similar to mountains and rocks.

Furniture and home furnishings: commonly found in glass countertops, coffee tables, TV cabinets, shower rooms, kitchen cabinet doors, etc.

Photovoltaics and automobiles: making solar cell substrates in the photovoltaic field; In cars, in addition to darkening the window film, the black area on the edge of the front windshield is also a type of black glass technology used to prevent the glass from cracking due to exposure to sunlight.

Other uses: It is also used to make logo boards, handicrafts, jewelry, and light resistant packaging bottles for pharmaceuticals.
